Abigail Warren
I am a professional counsellor and psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I bring warmth, attentiveness and respect to the therapeutic relationship, helping you to explore what is going on for you, bringing an acceptance of who you are right now alongside a belief in the potential for change.
My training is integrative, meaning I combine several approaches, adjusting these to the needs of the individual. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues.
I’ve been seeing clients for counselling since 2016. Prior to private practice I worked as a counsellor at The Caravan in London and for Mid Sussex Counselling offering long-term therapy. Before training as a counsellor I worked in the business services sector and as a gardener.
I’ve always had a keen interest in psychological and emotional wellbeing and travelled various healing routes myself. This led to my undertaking a post-graduate training in counselling and psychotherapy.
My formal qualifications are:
Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, accredited by BACP & UKCP (CCPE, London)
MA in Transpersonal Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCPE/University of Northampton), in which I undertook research into the long-term impacts of childhood bereavement.
I am committed to ongoing training and professional development.
